Thousands to attend ordination of new Catholic Bishop of Miri Diocese

Good credentials: With the ordination, Ng will become among the youngest bishops in Malaysia.

MIRI: Thousands of Catholics and dozens of prominent church leaders from across Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei will gather here this Saturday to attend the ordination of the new Catholic Bishop of Miri Diocese, Rev Fr Richard Ng (pic).

Seven archbishops, 10 bishops and about a hundred priests, deacons, local politicians and leaders of various churches and some 6,000 parishioners are expected to gather at Miri Indoor Stadium to witness the ceremony that will start at 9am.
