Eight-year-old boy suffers gunshot wound in freak mishap


MIRI: An eight-year-old boy was shot in the right shoulder after his father’s pistol went off when the latter jumped off a lorry yesterday at 5pm.

Miri police chief ACP Mun Kock Keong said the boy’s father, a corporal attached to the General Operations Force, 12th Battalion Camp as a driver, had stopped at his flat in the camp after returning from Kuching to deliver goods for Lahad Datu.
