TUCKED 42km from Sibu city centre along Jalan Oya right next to the YMCA Resort, there is a pasar tamu (day market) selling Iban baskets and other woven items which have become quite a big hit among locals and tourists.
What is unique about these handicrafts is that they are made from PVC packaging strips instead of the usual rattan.
