Storm dampens Raya mood

JUST days away, Hari Raya will be bleak for a kuih seller and her family members in Alor Setar after Friday’s freak squall blew away much of the roof on their kampung house.

The violent storm ripped out all the asbestos roofing except above the kitchen and also tore off a side wall on the top floor of Hartini Hamzah’s home in Kampung Teluk Kechai off Jalan Kuala Kedah.
