G HOTEL has always been the choice for ‘Stylishly at G Hotel Kelawei — Facebook Photo Contest’ winner Teh Kheng Beng, 38, whenever he returns from England to visit his family.
His brother Kheng Soon, 42, who represented Kheng Beng during the prize presentation, said his brother, a hairstylist in London, was very excited when told of his triumph.
“Everytime he comes to Penang to visit us, G Hotel will be his choice.
“He told me about this contest but he didn’t expect to win it as he participated just for fun during his visit this year,” he said after receiving the 2D/1N stay in Deluxe Room with breakfast for two voucher at G Hotel Kelawei recently.
He added that he would pass the gift to Kheng Beng so he could unwind for free when he comes back the next time.
Kheng Beng emerged winner after he garnered 621 likes for his photograph in Facebook. Another winner who received the similar prize was Trista Toh.
The 25-year-old food blogger said she usually comes to the hotel for the food.
“But, I have never stayed in the hotel before and now I have the opportunity to stay here and enjoy the hospitality.”
G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawei general manager Michael Hanratty said that through this contest, they received over 2,000 likes collectively in Facebook.
“We were impressed with the entries and the participants have done a good job by creatively posing at different spots in the hotel,” he said.
