Government to investigate on fishes found dead in river

MALACCA: About 10,000 fishes (mostly Tilapia) died in the Malacca River and the state government has directed a probe into Tuesday’s phenomenon.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron said some three tonnes of lifeless fishes were scooped from the river and based on the weightage, the number of edible fishes tabulates to a figure of 10,000.
