THE Perak police contingent signed up 408 people for the Police Volunteer Reserve unit (PVR) in its recent state-wide five-day recruitment drive at all 15 district police headquarters.

The contingent’s Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Hamidah Yunus said the exercise was in line with the contingent’s effort to recruit more civilians to join the unit.
