Beauty Q: Eyebags and hair fall

I’M in my late 40s. I’ve been using eye cream in my daily skincare routine since my 20s. I believe the eyes are the first to show signs of ageing. However, my eye contour appears to have deep lines, wrinkles, eyebags and dark circles. I’ve tried various products, but have seen minimal results. I tried covering up with a concealer and foundation, but the faults become even more visible, and the wrinkles around the eye area show up even more clearly, even when I’m not smiling. Should I use a BB or CC cream to cover up the eyebags and wrinkles, instead of a concealer or foundation? I would like my make-up to look natural as the wrong application will make me look tired and older. Appreciate your advice. – Siew Phin

According to Dr Lieve Declercq, vice-president of Basic Science Research Europe and Asia, and global spokesperson for Origins, the skin around the eye area is, on average, three times thinner than facial skin and the thinnest skin on the entire body. As such, it is typically more sensitive and fragile. This is also due to the fact that our eyes express nearly every emotion and are in constant motion as they follow the movements of the underlying muscles.
