Inspiration comes from Chinese legend, ‘Tea In A Big Red Robe’.
LUXURY perfume house Kilian has unveiled a new essence based on the delicate aroma of jasmine tea. A fresh springtime fragrance for men and women, Imperial Tea will be available from April.
For the latest perfume in its Asian Tales line, Kilian drew inspiration from the Chinese legend known as Tea In A Big Red Robe. After an emperor’s mother was cured of an illness by a certain oolong tea, the emperor ordered that the extraordinary tea bushes that produced the tea leaves be cloaked in big red robes.
Master perfumer Calice Becker aimed to capture the essence of fragrant jasmine tea, namely by combining green tea notes with jasmine bud extract.
Perfect for the spring season, this fresh green fragrance will be available in April. Prices: €80 (RM361) for a 50ml refill, €105 (RM474) for the travel spray, and €185 (RM835) for the 50ml refillable flacon. – AFP Relaxnews
