A STORY told from the perspective of The Catcher In The Rye’s Holden Caulfield and more tales of Seymour Glass – from the Glass family featured in the immensely popular A Perfect Day For Bananafish – will appear in new J.D. Salinger (pic) books to be published posthumously, according to the makers of a documentary on the famously reclusive American author who died in 2010.
The five new books, expected between 2015 and 2020, include a 1962 short story featuring Caulfield, and A World War II Love Story, based on Salinger’s brief marriage to Sylvia, a Nazi collaborator, the filmmakers revealed at the premiere of Salinger, at Colorado’s Telluride film festival last month.
