KUALA LUMPUR: Komarkcorp Bhd has received a French suitor Autajon which has submitted a non-binding indication of interest in its labelling business.

It said on Tuesday the interest was to explore a potential transaction involving the possible acquisition of the equity interest in its operating subsidiaries which include General Labels & Labelling (M) Sdn. Bhd. and its subsidiary companies.

“Autajon requires, among others, a due diligence to be satisfactorily completed before it can proceed to the stage of making a definitive offer involving the above operating subsidiary companies of Komark, if applicable,” it said.

Komarkcorp said Autajon indicated the scope of the due diligence would include, among others, the financial, legal, tax, commercial, human resource and regulatory aspects of the operating subsidiary companies.

Autajon makes folding cartons and labels. Its products include folding cartons, rigid boxes, industrial labels and wine and spirit labels.

The company was founded in 1964 and is based in Montelimar, France.
