Khazanah Nasional restructures management team


KUALA LUMPUR: Khazanah Nasional Bhd has made new appointments and restructured its senior leadership team in an effort to strengthen it further.

In a statement on Wednesday, the company said it had promoted its director and head of corporate and support services (CSS) Mohamed Nasri Sallehuddin to executive director effective April 1.

Mohamed Nasri, who joined Khazanah on Sept 1, 2009 as the legal director of CSS, would continue to head this division.

Omar Siddiq Amin Noer Rashid, Khazanah’s director from 2008 to 2010, will rejoin the company on July 1 as executive director for investments. He is currently the CIMB Group’s managing director and regional head of technology, media, telecoms and aviation in the investment banking division.

A new face in the group is Javier Santiso, who is also appointed executive director for investments and will be based in the group’s London office from of Aug 1. With an MBA and PhD in Economics and Finance, specialising in emerging markets, Santiso is currently managing director (global affairs and new ventures) at Telefonica.

Meanwhile, Latifah Daud joined the group on April 1 as director and head of the strategic human capital division. Previously Honeywell Asia Pacific senior staffing director, she brings with her over 20 years of experience in human resources.
