PETALING JAYA: Advertising expenditure (adex) in March grew 9% year-on-year to RM1.2bil from RM1.1bil in the previous corresponding period as advertisers looked to push sales before the implementation of the goods and services tax (GST) on April 1.
An industry observer said the growth registered was within expectations as “many retailers seized the opportunity to sell off items that would be hit by GST.”
