LONDON: British Airways owner IAG SA said it has been granted limited access to the books of Aer Lingus Group Plc after raising its bid for a second time, valuing the Irish carrier at about at 1.36 billion euros (US$1.52bil).
If a takeover were to succeed, Aer Lingus would maintain connections to Ireland and benefit from the scale of joining a larger airline group, the London-based aviation group said in a statement yesterday, a day after Aer Lingus confirmed a higher bid. — Bloomberg
