The politically connected Bakrie Group and its flagship company PT Bumi Resources hogged the limelight in the corporate scene in Indonesia with two deals valued at a total of US$1.65bil.
The first transaction completed in March this year saw the severance of ties between Bakrie Group and Nathaniel Rothshild, the heir to the British banking group Rothschild.
