Nest Cam IQ security camera can recognise faces

With a Nest Aware subscription, the camera can even recognise familiar faces.

Nest Labs has unveiled a new intelligent home monitoring camera, capable of recognising faces and alerting home owners with notifications. The Nest Cam IQ is available to preorder now for US$299 (RM1,285) and is expected to ship from the end of June. 

The new Nest Cam IQ has an 8-megapixel sensor and a 12x digital zoom for filming HD (1080p) footage day and night with a 130°  field of view. A powerful speaker also allows remote users to speak to people close to the camera, whether to scare intruders or to give instructions to kids home alone.
