Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 is set to go on sale in Malaysia after a long wait.
Pre-orders for the phone will start on March 10 on the Mi official store on the online marketplace Lazada.
The actual sale will begin on March 16.
This comes almost eight months after the phone was first released in the company’s home market, China.
Unlike its previous online-only sale on the official website, the company is now making their devices more widely available than before, including both online and retail channels nationwide.
While the China variant features a Mediatek Helio X20 processor, Malaysian users will be getting the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core 2.0GHz processor instead.
The fourth generation Redmi Note smartphone sports a 5.5in full-HD display which has been improved aesthetically with a slight curved 2.5 glass on both sides on the screen.
For the camera, the phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear shooter and 5-megapixel front facing camera.
Other specs include 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, a rear fingerprint sensor and a large 4,100mAh battery.
The phone will be priced at RM799. However, the company has yet to reveal the colours available at the moment.
