Pre-orders, Best Buy demos: Oculus Rift prepares for retail launch

Early adopters with a pre-order still awaiting fulfilment are encouraged to switch to retail once the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset gains wide release on May 6, with in-store demos rolling out across the US the following day. 

Californian tech company Oculus VR was swamped with pre-orders in January when the Oculus Rift's consumer-grade edition was announced for a March launch.
