SEA Games: Ain Kamaruddin upsets Muay world champion for gold

KUALA LUMPUR: Muay exponent Ain Kamaruddin of Malaysia pulled off a major upset when he defeated world champion Thachtana Luangphon from Thailand in the 54-57kg final at the Malaysian International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MiTEC) Hall 8 here Tuesday.

The 25-year-old Kelantanese, who had only won a bronze at the 2013 Myanmar SEA Games, upstaged the Thai 29-28.
