Syahir’s hopes of Games gold hit a giant wave


Syahir had a fruitful outing as he broke the national slalom record twice in a day.

PUTRAJAYA: Water skier Syahir Nasir’s (pic) hopes of capturing the slalom gold medal at the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games from Aug 19-30 have hit the skids.

The 19-year-old pulled up a back muscle injury during training two weeks ago and has been advised by doctors to do light training only.
