KUALA LUMPUR: Cosmas Matolo Muteti of Kenya upstaged his countryman and five-time champion Kennedy Kiproo Lilan to win the men’s Open at the Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon.

Cosmas completed the 42km race with a personal best of 2’18:43 at Dataran Merdeka yesterday.
