Let’s be proud of being Malaysians

I KNOW nothing about football. Yet, when Mohd Faiz Subri won for Best Goal at the 2016 FIFA Puskas Award, I swelled with pride as a Malaysian and a Penangite.

Another Penangite now based in Britain, Professor Dr Muzlifah Haniffa, also made news. She was awarded an RM1mil grant from the prestigious Lister Institute Research Prize Fellowship for her work in developing new cancer treatment and vaccination strategies.
