ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkish authorities detained more than 1,500 people for questioning over suspected links to militant groups in the latest operations over the last week and arrested 125 of them, the interior ministry said on Monday.
Turkey faces multiple security threats, including the militant Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in the largely Kurdish southeast and Islamic State militants. Both groups have been blamed for multiple deadly bomb attacks in Turkish cities over the last year.
