Ten-year-old boy drowns in Kemaman hotel pool

CHUKAI: A ten-year-old boy has drowned in a hotel swimming pool in the Kemaman district.

Kemaman district acting police chief DSP Wan Muhamad Wan Ja'far said the boy was found at the bottom of the pool on Monday (Dec 30) by his father, 47, adding that the family had come from Pahang for a holiday.

"At 5.30pm, the victim and several of his family members went to the pool. The father later realised that his son had disappeared.

"After searching, the boy was found at the bottom of the pool and was rushed to Kemaman Hospital," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
