Man burns to death after car catches fire


IPOH: A man was burnt to death after his car caught on fire at Jalan Bagan Seberang Kampung Kuala Gula, Batu Kurau, here on Thursday (April 15).

A spokesman for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department said they received a distress call at 10.40am.

"Upon arriving, fire and rescue personnel noticed a black car that was about 70% razed, with the victim still in the car.

"The victim has been identified as Ong Yean Tong, 48, by his family," he said.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
