PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak changed his Facebook profile picture Thursday (Feb 14) to one of him at his graduation ceremony in 1974.

His profile features a much younger Najib in his graduation gown and cap while sporting long flowing black hair.

With the change of his Facebook page profile picture, he also added a post that included a picture of him, his mother Tun Rahah Mohammad Noah, and brother Datuk Ahmad Johari Razak.

"It is old school, but this is a photo from my graduation party in 1974," the Pekan MP wrote on his Facebook.

"At that time, I looked cool because it was a trend in England then to have long hair. Ok, I admit I was influenced then," he added.

Najib also thanked his son Mohd Norashman Razak for spending almost an hour looking for these pictures, which are about 45 years old, in Tun Rahah's house.

"If DAP still does not believe and still wants to defame me, they can borrow the time machine from the Finance Minister's (Lim Guan Eng) friend to travel to 1974 and look for me," he jeered, making to a reference to the Japanese animation Doraemon and his time machine.

The post received over 33,000 Likes and reshared 2,000 times.

It was reported that Keranji state assemblyman Chong Zhemin claimed that Najib never completed his studies at the University of Nottingham in the 1970s.

However, the University of Nottingham was reported confirming that Najib had graduated with a degree in Industrial Economics in 1974.

This was based on the recent news where several Pakatan Harapan politicians were under fire over their education credentials. Among them include Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Marzuki Yahya and   Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin.
