IPOH: The decomposed body of a man was found by a passer-by, in a drain on Jalan Bercham near the industrial estate here.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Ali Tamby said the police was alerted at about 12.10pm on Friday.
“When the police arrived there, the body was found submerged in 0.9m-deep water in the drain.
“We checked the surrounding area but found no weapons nor any related object that could have caused the man’s death.
“There were, however, some scratch marks on the body,” he added.
ACP Mohd Ali said the body has been sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for a post-mortem, which would be conducted next Monday (March 26).
“There have been no missing person reports made in Bercham.
“As of now, the case is classified as sudden death,” he said.
