Lorry bursts into flames after plunging 90m into Sabah ravine, driver feared dead


KOTA KINABALU: A lorry driver is feared dead after plunging into a ravine along at the Ranau-Telupid road some 200km from here early Saturday.

The driver, who was driving the palm oil-filled truck, is believed to have lost control of the vehicle before it plunged into a 90m-deep ravine.

Sabah Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Khatizah Rahaban said the lorry burst into flames following the 6am accident.

"We are still trying to locate the victim," she said in a statement.
