Cops make biggest drug haul this year at KLIA2


SEPANG: Police seized 254kg of ketamine packed as tea leaves with a street value of RM12.7mil in the biggest drug bust at KL International Airport 2 this year.

Federal police Narcotic Investigation Department director Comm Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh (pic) said that the drugs were seized during an operation by the KLIA division, together with the Special Tactical Intelligence Group (Sting), on the airside area of the airport at about 5.30pm on Oct 19.



Comm Mohmad said that police checked six boxes listed as containing tea leaves but instead they found the ketamine packed as 248 packets of tea.

He added that the drugs were supposed to be loaded onto an aircraft bound for Taipei, Taiwan.
