Videogame was too loud, so he stabbed the gamer and went back to bed

ISKANDAR PUTERI: An Indonesian man was injured in his ear and neck after a colleague lost his cool and stabbed him for apparently playing videogames too loudly at a workers’ hostel at Taman Nusa Bestari here.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Noor Hashim Mohamad said that the 39-year-old suspect went into a rage as the noise coming from the next room was disturbing his sleep.

He walked into the victim's room and attacked the Indonesian man, in his 20s, with a penknife at about 7am on Tuesday.

“After the assault, the suspect immediately returned to his room and went back to bed.

“The victim suffered a 4cm cut on the back of his left ear and wounds on his left arm, while two others who were also playing were unharmed,” ACP Noor Hashim told reporters during a press conference here on Tuesday.

He said the victim was sent to Hospital Sultanah Aminah for treatment.

He added that the suspect tested negative for drugs and has been remanded under Section 324 of the Penal Code for intentionally causing hurt with a weapon.
