Petrol prices down this week, diesel up


PETALING JAYA: Petrol prices will see a drop of three sen from Thursday while conversely diesel prices are slated to go up by two sen.

RON95 will be priced at RM2.16 per litre, down three sen from RM2.19 per litre. RON97 will be priced at RM2.46 per litre, also down three sen from RM2.49 per litre.

Meanwhile, diesel will go up by two sen, priced at RM2.12 per litre from RM2.10.

The new prices were announced on RTM1 on Wednesday evening and will be in effect from 12.01am on Sept 28 until Oct 4.

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect in April this year and the prices of petrol and diesel had been placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1 2014 following the removal of fuel subsidies.
