Petrol, diesel prices down this week

PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will see a slight drop across the board from Thursday.

RON95 will be priced at RM2.19 per litre, down 2 sen from RM2.21 per litre. RON97 will be priced at RM2.49 per litre, down 3 sen from RM2.52 per litre.

Meanwhile, diesel will go down by 4 sen, priced at RM2.10 per litre from RM2.14.

The new prices were announced on RTM1's Twitter account on Wednesday evening and will be in effect from 12.01am on Sept 21 until Sept 27.

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect in April this year and the prices of petrol and diesel had been placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1 2014 following the removal of fuel subsidies.
