KUALA LUMPUR: Police have called in one person to assist with investigations into the fire at the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah tahfiz school.
"Yes, I confirm that we called one man in to help with our investigation.
"So far it's only one. We will update you (the media) from time to time," said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun when met at the school on Friday night.
However, he denied that the man was a suspect, referring to online reports that a suspect had been picked up by police.
"This is just to allow for investigations. So far, we are still not sure (if there are criminal elements)," he said.
The Inspector-General of Police also declined to comment on whether the man was attached to the school.
