Petrol, diesel prices up this week


PETALING JAYA: The prices for petrol and diesel are up for the second week of September.

RON95 will be priced at RM2.21 per litre, up 1 sen from RM2.20, while the price of RON97 goes up 4 sen to RM2.52 per litre from RM2.48.

Diesel is up by 9 sen to RM2.14 per litre from RM2.05.

The new prices were announced on Wednesday evening and will take effect from 12.01am on Sept 14 until Sept 20.

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect in April this year, and the prices of petrol and diesel had been placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014 following the removal of fuel subsidies.
