Fuel prices up this week

PETALING JAYA: Petrol prices will go up by four sen while the price of diesel will go up by one sen for the first week of September.

The new price for RON95 will be RM2.20 per litre and RON97 will be priced at RM2.48 from midnight.

Diesel will go up by one sen to RM2.05 per litre.

The new prices were announced on RTM1 on Wednesday evening and will take effect from 12.01 am on Sept 7 until Sept 13.

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect in April this year, and the prices of petrol and diesel had been placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014 following the removal of fuel subsidies.
