Two MPSP officers hauled up

BUTTERWORTH: Two Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) officers have been hauled up by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to give their statements over the illegal factory.

Council president Datuk Rozali Mohamud said its Enforcement Department director Nazri Abdul Wahab and Licensing Department director Mohd Faidrol Radzi were called up on Friday.

“For now, we will let the investigation take its course before we take any further action. We have also not issued a stop-work order or notice to close down the factory yet, pending MACC investigation,” said Rozali yesterday, declining to explain further in view of the ongoing investigation.
