Fuel prices up this week

PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will be higher across the board from Thursday, with a four sen hike per litre for petrol and a seven sen increase for diesel.

The price of RON95 petrol will go up four sen per litre to RM1.93 (from RM1.89), while RON97 will be priced at RM2.19 (from RM2.15).

Diesel will increase by seven sen from RM1.84 per litre previously to RM1.91.

The new prices, which were announced on RTM1 on Wednesday evening, will be in effect from July 6 until July 12.

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect from April this year.

Prices of petrol and diesel had been placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014, following the removal of fuel subsidies.
