KOTA KINABALU: Cancer-stricken Puntung, the Sumatran rhinoceros that captured international attention in recent months, has been put to sleep at Tabin Wildlife Reserve in Lahad Datu.
Her ovaries were immediately harvested and rushed to the Agro-Biotechnology Institute in Serdang in the hope that they can contribute to the survival of her species.
