PETALING JAYA: Police have nabbed the man behind 81 cases of cheating people by pretending to sell cars on the Internet.
He has allegedly scammed about RM218,500 from his victims since 2016 by setting up fake advertisements on social media and car-selling websites, said Bukit Aman Commercial Crimes Investigation Department (CCID) deputy director (Cyber and Multimedia Investigation) Senior Asst Comm Datuk Mohd Kamaruddin Md Din.
