PETALING JAYA: The debate between Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will take place on April 7.

Debate organiser Sinar Harian said it had received confirmation from the police that the debate would be allowed to take place at Dewan Sultan Muhammad Ke-5 at Kompleks Karangkraf in Shah Alam at 9pm.

The organisers expects 450 people to attend the highly-anticipated debate.

However, it will not be open to the public as attendance will be by invitation only.

Sinar Harian editor-in-chief Datuk Abdul Jalil Ali will moderate the debate between the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia chairman and the Padang Rengas MP.

The debate was originally scheduled for March 25 at the Mara Junior Science College in Kuala Kangsar, Perak, but was postponed following the failure by the organisers to get prior police approval.
