BALIK PULAU: An unidentified woman’s body was found floating in a canal in Bayan Lepas here.
OCPD Supt Anuar Omar said police received a call at 1.30pm yesterday about the body beside a condominium block.
“A team was deployed to the scene to investigate and the body was retrieved from the canal by several firemen.
“There was no identification document on the body of the woman believed to be in her 50s.
“Her face was covered with cloth but no injuries were found on the body,” he said yesterday.
Supt Anuar said the body was sent to Balik Pulau Hospital for post-mortem.
