Parliament goes silent on third-year anniversary of missing MH370


KUALA LUMPUR: Parliament observed a minute's silence in honour of the 239 passengers and crew on Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 which went missing exactly three years ago.

The motion was called by Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai at 11.40am Wednesday.

All parliamentarians present in the august chamber stood for a full minute.

On March 8, 2014, the ill-fated Boeing 777 aircraft which was bound for Beijing from Kuala Lumpur went missing shortly after take off.

Its journey is believed to have ended in the southern Indian Ocean.
