> A motorist involved in a minor accident along Jalan Syed Putra was shocked when his Toyota Camry was driven away by two men posing as tow truck drivers, reported Metro Ahad.
In the 10.30pm incident on Friday, the 40-year-old, known only as Cheah, stopped along the roadside to inspect the damage after rear ending a Perodua Kenari.
While talking with the other driver, the two men on a motorcycle approached Cheah and claimed to be from a towing company.
“They told me that their friend would come and help tow my car to the workshop,” he said.
Claiming that they needed to check the condition of the car, one of the men got behind the wheel, but then closed the door and drove off.
The other man sped off on the motorcycle.
Cheah lodged a police report; the car has yet to be recovered.
