Women cash in on steamy livestreams

Too easy: A quick search on a social media site immediately comes up with a protected Brahminy kite for sale.

MALAYSIAN women, some as young as 14, are livestreaming videos of themselves undressing for money, Metro Ahad reported.

The daily, in an undercover expose, unearthed an online community centred around video streaming apps where women perform lewd acts on camera in exchange for virtual coins paid by their male audience.

Called “Diamonds”, they can be redeemed for real money and are worth anywhere from 99 sen to RM90.

“An investigation found many teen girls broadcasting themselves shimmying and showing off their bodies to captivate anyone willing to pay them,” the paper reported.

One 14-year-old girl who gave her name as Farah reportedly said:

“In school, I don’t get much attention but now, because of this app, I do.”

Hairul Raffique Asraf Azman, is now immobile at his home in Selangor while waiting for his operation date.

“I have to wear a diaper. I am so ashamed. It’s like I am a small child again,” he said.

Hairul believed he was bitten about six months ago when he started noticing his leg swelling and seeping yellow fluid.

“It was frightening. My leg kept growing,” he said, adding that doctors believe he had contracted Elephantiasis, a parasitic infection that causes limbs to swell.

In six months, Hairul’s weight grew to 284kg and his leg now weighs 80kg.

His father, a taxi driver, struggles to make ends meet as his son waits for his operation.
