Malacca Portuguese community welcomes Fernandez's appointment as cardinal

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia's soon-to-be first Roman Catholic cardinal Rev Archbishop Tan Sri Anthony Soter Fernandez (pic) is a man of principle who believes in moderation, the Malacca Portuguese community said.

Its head of Minority Community Joseph Sta Maria said Fernandez has proven to be a man who believes in solving problems through rational discussion and not inflammatory words.
