Six transfers and promotions among police top brass

PETALING JAYA: The latest police reshuffling exercise involves six transfers and promotions.

Taking over as the new IGP secretariat chief (research and development) is Comm Datuk Tajudin Md Isa, previously the deputy director of Bukit Aman’s Commer­cial Crimes Investigations Depart­ment.

Comm Tajudin replaces Comm Datuk Rusli Ahmad, who from Aug 1 would be Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department director.

Outgoing Penang deputy police chief DCP Datuk Thaiveegan Aru­mu­gam would now replace Comm Tajudin as deputy director at CCID.

SAC Datuk Ayob Khan is the incoming principal assistant director of Bukit Aman Special Branch’s E8 division that comes with the rank of deputy commissioner.

The others who are also promo­ted includes SAC Dr Mustafa Khan (Management Science Research Centre chief), ACP Koh Ah Tiam (principal assistant director of Bukit Aman’s CCID operations and technical assistance) and ACP Noor Sham Md Jani (deputy commander of operations at the Pusat Gerakan Udara unit in Bukit Aman.

A statement released by IGP secretariat corporate communications chief Datin Asmawati Ahmad said the transfers are to take effect on Aug 11.
