Clerk claims man had affair with stepdaughter, wants action taken

IPOH: An accounts clerk has asked the police to arrest her 29-year-old husband for allegedly having an affair and a child with his 18-year-old stepdaughter.

In her police report, the 40-year-old woman claimed that her second husband whom she married five years ago, had a child with her daughter from her first marriage.

She said she was shocked to see a document which confirmed that her daughter had given birth to a girl on March 21 at a general hospital.

“During this time, my daughter was supposed to attend a kindergarten teaching course in Selangor. When I asked her about it, she confessed that she has been involved with my husband, her stepfather, for five years.

“She told me the baby was his,” she told reporters here yesterday.

The woman claimed that she questioned her husband but he vehemently denied having anything to do with his stepdaughter’s pregnancy.

“But the truth is, the birth certificate of the baby has my husband’s name as the father.

“This is the same man who professed his love to me five years ago, and with whom I had a child a year later.

“And now my own daughter has conceived his child too. This is wrong,” she said, adding that the baby was allegedly handed over to a cleaner at the general hospital after the birth.

The woman expressed disappointment that there has been no development since a report was lodged on May 29.

“I don’t want the police to classify this as a domestic problem. This is a social ill,” she said, urging the police to arrest her husband.

Efforts to contact Ipoh OCPD Assistant Commissioner Sum Chang Keong were unsuccessful.
