Wee: Duo's sacking Umno's internal affair

AYER HITAM: MCA like the other component parties in Barisan Nasional always uphold the policy of non-interference in the affairs of the respective parties.

Deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pix) said Barisan had observed the practice for a long time for the benefit of all.

Commenting on the decision by the Umno supreme council in sacking deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and former Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, Wee said:

“This is Umno's internal affair and we in MCA is not interfering in the decision made by the party involving its members.”

Wee, who is Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, earlier gave away Hari Raya goodies to poor families and RM116,000 financial aid to 33 mosques and 96 suraus in the constituency.

Johor Umno information chief Datuk Samsolbari Jamari said the state Umno would continue to work hard in the next general election.

"We will focus on strengthening the party and we have to work together to ensure Johor remains a stronghold for Umno and Barisan,” he said.
