Lawyer: CEO acted in good faith as whistleblower


KUALA LUMPUR: A chief executive officer of a company acted in good faith when he asked the police and the Malaysian Anti-Corrup­tion Commission to probe the financial irregularities at his workplace, a High Court heard.

Lawyer for Dr Syed Omar Syed Agil, who is the CEO of Institut Profe­sional Baitulmal Sdn Bhd (IPB), argued that his client had acted within the requirements of the Whis­tle­blower Protection Act.
