Copter crash: Search continues for final victim


SRI AMAN: The search and rescue operation to locate another victim of the helicopter tragedy in Batang Lupar in Sarawak resumed at 8.05am Sunday.  

Filipino pilot Rudolf Rex Ragas, who was on the ill-fated craft, which took off from Betong to Kuching on Thursday remains missing.  

The SAR team comprising 29 members left the operations centre in Lingga to scour the waters off Batang Lupar.  

Personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department, Civil Defence Department and armed forces in nine boats are involved in the operation.  

The others killed in the tragedy were Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Noriah Kasnon, her husband Asmuni Abdullah, the ministry's secretary-general Datuk Dr Sundaran Annamalai, Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Wan Mohammad Khai-ril Anuar Wan Ahmad and Noriah's bodyguard Ahmad Sobri Harun.
